Baked Pasta & Cheese

This pasta recipe is very simple to make because it's made out of common ingredients that are already in your kitchen. And since it's direct from your childhood, it's a great way to feed your kids if you're press for time to cook.

Easy Baked Pasta and Cheese. A childhood favorite.

Baked Pasta & Cheese

Ingredients for a 2 quart casserole dish:
  • 1 package 8oz pasta (penne in this case)
  • 3 cups shredded cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 deg F.

In pot of boiling water, cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a sauce pan over low heat, melt butter. Then stir in flour. Add milk and continue to stir until sauce thickens. Add 2 cups shredded cheese and stir until melted.

Combine al dente pasta and sauce in a 2 quart casserole dish. Mix it up and spread evenly. Top with 1 cup of shredded cheese.

Baked for 15-20 minutes or until cheese on top is brown and melted.

Remove from oven and serve.
