
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients for Peanut Butter Cookie Dough:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Ingredients for Chocolate Cookie Dough:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (careful not to overmeasure)
- 1/2 cup + 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 Tablespoons milk
- 1 cup chocolate
Direction:
Make the Peanut Butter Dough in a medium to large bowl:
Cream together butter, brown sugar and sugar.
Beat in peanut butter.
Add egg and vanilla extract. Beat until consistent.
Sift together baking soda, flour and salt. Add to the peanut butter mix. Beat until doughy.
Add chocolate chips and fold into the dough until well blended.
Cover bowl with plastic wrap (or aluminum foil) and chill for two hours.
Make the Chocolate Cookie Dough in a medium to large bowl:
Cream together butter, brown sugar and sugar.
Add egg and vanilla extract. Beat until consistent.
Sift together cocoa powder, baking soda, flour and salt. Add to the cookie batter mix. Add milk and beat until doughy.
Add chocolate chips and fold into the dough until well blended.
Cover bowl with plastic wrap (or aluminum foil) and chill for two hours.
Make the cookies:
After chilling each dough for two hours, preheat oven to 350 deg F.
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Make balls of about 2 Tbsp each chocolate and peanut butter dough, rolling slightly to form one single ball. Place on lined sheets.
Bake the cookies for 11-12 minutes.
Remove cookies from oven and let cool before serving. Cookies should be soft.
Makes 24-30 cookies.
